No. There is absolutely no compelling reason to consider placing a person who was born a citizen/subject of another nation (whether now naturalized or not) in the position of Commander-in-Chief of the U.S. Armed Forces.

At all. Under any circumstances. Period.

NO.
In fact I would say that only citizens should be allowed to hold any office, civil service jobs, or to own land.

Depends... are this person's parents US citizens living abroad?

Did this person spend the past, say, 20 or more years living here?

How much of this person's life was spent living in another country?

I think having lived here is more important than where you were born, really.

As long as you are eligible for citizenship via your parents being US born, then I don't see why not.

I would love to see the rules around how old you have to be to run for president changed.

35? Why so old? I mean, I think we could knock that down to 30.

Would avoid some of the senility issues we're having with people like Trump or the "is she too sickly" stuff we had with HRC or the "can he do two terms?" stuff we hear when someone like Sanders or Biden want to run.

If you could run earlier, it would probably skew the candidates just a little bit younger.

Also? Would love for there to be a test to be president.

And I would like for there to be a rule that you have to have been either a governor of a US state or a member of Congress to run for POTUS.

Or, you have to have been VP... that would also work.

Yes the president should be a natural born citizen which means being born on American soil. Our nation is getting really sloppy making sure of this. No exceptions should be made to this. A person who has not lived in America all their life does not understand what being an American is. That was the reason for that law in the first place. It was meant to protect America from someone coming into our country and taking over and not having American values such as the last president we had before Trump. Obama clearly did not understand what it is to be a proud American. In my opinion he was never qualified to be our president. Our president does not need to be going overseas apologizing for anything this country stands for. Nobody is forced to live here.

The age limit is good too. All requirements of our constitution are there for a good reason and shouldn't be messed with in order to preserve our way of life.

I would support an amendment saying that both parents of the president should have been natural born American citizens too.

No. And if you have to insult people because you disagree with their opinion, you must be one of the intolerant loons on the left.

I would actually like to see the definition of Natural Born Citizen be more clearly defined.
It currently is just a bit too murky.
