The typical working stiff can't find work because the world has realized that you don't have to pay some slug with marginal skills 60 grand a year and a pension when an illiterate 10 year old Chinese boy can perform the same job function for 2 dollars a day.

But wait until TOMORROW.

That's when it's all going to really hit the fan. No matter how much you liberals love big spending and huge debt, it will bring us down. Just like it's destroyed other nations, the USA is not immune.

Where does it say that matters? Obama's dad was a citizen of Kenya.

Which means that Obama's citizenship status at birth was governed by the British Nationality Act of 1948.

From Obama's campaign:
Quote:
"When Barack Obama Jr. was born on Aug. 4,1961, in Honolulu, Kenya was a British colony, still part of the United Kingdom’s dwindling empire. As a Kenyan native, Barack Obama Sr. was a British subject whose citizenship status was governed by The British Nationality Act of 1948. That same act governed the status of Obama Sr.‘s children."
Fight the Smears: The Truth About Barack (http://www.fightthesmears.com/articles/5/birthcertificate - broken link)

Obama was born a foreign citizen as well as a U.S. citizen.

The U.S. State Department explains the predicament of one in such circumstances:
Quote:
"Persons may have dual nationality by automatic operation of different laws rather than by choice. ...The U.S. Government recognizes that dual nationality exists but does not encourage it as a matter of policy because of the problems it may cause. Claims of other countries on dual national U.S. citizens may conflict with U.S. law, and dual nationality may limit U.S. Government efforts to assist citizens abroad. ...dual nationals owe allegiance to both the United States and the foreign country. They are required to obey the laws of both countries. Either country has the right to enforce its laws"
US State Department Services Dual Nationality

The purprose of the Constitutional Convention changing the Presidential eligibility requirement from 'citizen' to 'natural born citizen' was to prevent those born with conflicted allegiances and the obligation to obey laws from another country from ascending to the highest office of our federal government and our nation's military.

The only SCOTUS definition of Constitutional natural born citizen:
Quote:
"The Constitution does not, in words, say who shall be natural-born citizens. Resort must be had elsewhere to ascertain that. At common-law, with the nomenclature of which the framers of the Constitution were familiar, it was never doubted that all children born in a country of parents who were its citizens became themselves, upon their birth, citizens also. These were natives, or natural-born citizens, as distinguished from aliens or foreigners."
Minor v. Happersett

There are other SCOTUS citations, as well.

Obama is not a Constitutional natural born citizen. He was elected POTUS in error. The fact that public schools don't teach U.S. History and Civics anymore (or if they do it's rather poorly) probably has a lot to do with that.

You're joking? The $16 trillion debt will be front and center of what liberal governance is all about.

All the polls show spending/deficits/debt as a top concern of most voters right behind jobs. The two go hand in hand.

Oh, don't you worry, obama/dems spending and deficit/debt will be on the front burner as part of his glorious record.

Why does Marco Rubio have such a negative view about America? Why would he call the USA a "deadbeat nation?" Rubio is free to leave the country if he doesn't love it here.

Awwww....I guess you didn't READ the piece. We have an UNleader who is making this country a deadbeat nation with his reckless spending and deficits.

All patriots who love this country should want to see that stopped.

The economy is improving, bin laden is dead, the Iraq war is over.

Rubio is free to leave if he hates this country enough to call it a "deadbeat nation."

Marco Rubio needs to be President someday, and soon.

Not if he is that much of an idiot. Dog catcher maybe.

What about the 60 trillion that Wall Street is all about including the bailout that added to the 15 trillion? What about the derivatives and the 13 bankers in Larry Summers office black mailing da guberment?

Oh yeah and we do not have a commodity currency since 1971. The national debt is the money supply. So its hardly a problem at all. The rate of change for the total money supply may very well become a problem if it becomes more of a foreign debt.
