Just like the subprime bubble, when easy money is available to ANYONE for pretty much any amount then you will have trouble a few years down the road.

We have a student loan bubble with recent graduates not able to pay back. Sound familiar ?

Finally back to the good micro-economic prescriptions that you usually have. That is exactly the solution.

That was my point in an earlier post. As long as there is that expectation of a college degree, college costs can go up without universities suffering a significant loss in enrollment to other paths to success.

It is the perception that a college degree is the predominant sign of competency for a young person that needs to change in this world.

>The corporations don't have to pay an American a salary that even begins to justify his high student loans because it's very easy to simply import a much cheaper college graduate from another country. Indian programmers for example don't expect $50K a year salary. And medical doctors from other nations will work for much less than American doctors.

In a globalist world, it doesn't make sense to take out huge loans to attend US universities only to find yourself having to compete in a global economy with those who will work for much much lower wages than you need to pay back your loans.<

Sad really.

Corps want to sell to (take from) the US market but not take employees from (put something back) that same market. When that is a bug it is called a parasite.

Do you want someone to scald your scalp with some solution? Maybe get something in your eyes and blind you? Do you want to pay $50 for a crappy haircut your kid could have done for free?

Several people have already demonstrated that the demand is subsidized.

Taking out huge loans aint the answer.

Also pouring more money into K-12 aint the answer for our public school system.

I can't imagine leaving college with $100,000 of debt. Kids these days would be better off finding a factory job after high school and buying a house. As long as you're going to be in debt, you might as well get something for your money.

Kids who graduate from college will have to pay off their Student Loans and a mortgage.
I'm against anyone going to college. Anyobody with a decent brain knows that colleges only brainwash good American kids into commies. Not only that, but colleges use books instead of teaching common sense. How many more elitists do we need?
