I just finish making a batch of meatballs and spaghetti sauce. Am about to pour myself a glass of wine and watch last night's episode of "Boss". It's foggy and cold outside but cozy and smelling of garlic and oregano inside. Life is good.

I just pulled off the Tri-State Tollway at the Lake Forest Oasis for a few minutes. My car thermometer says 26. I'm on my way home to have some cheese and some of the wine I just bought, and tomorrow I'm flying out to Arizona for some warm weather before coming back for the holidays.

I am making heirloom Christmas cookies this evening.
I make them for us and also for gifts, its one of the ways I connect with my beloved grandmothers, and teaching my daughter the traditions in our family.
We are also making crafty things for her wedding, which is New Years Eve.
My husband has a fire going in the fireplace, we are listening to some really good jazz.
This is my favorite time of the year, I only wish I lived closer to my family and friends in Missouri, I miss them.
All in all, a lovely evening, I hope everyone has a peaceful and joyous evening as well.

I don't want to pry, but I hope things work out for you. Hang in there...

The high light of the day {drum roll} I had hay delivered for my 7 Pygmy goats and stacked it in the barn. Yes, life is exciting here in the sticks !!!!!! I took a big after noon nap and of course spent some time here on CD. Later I am watching the {R} debate on line since we have no cable and after watch some Netflix cuddled up with the old bird.

A personal note to Calipoppy you might know this but do not burn a bunch of cardboard all at once in the fireplace. Had a friend who almost caught his roof on fire there was flames coming out of the stack.
