Fox Business getting all fired up because the foil in the new Muppet movie is an oil tycoon. Of course: LIBERAL CLASS-WARFARE BRAINWASHING CONSPIRACY!!1!!!!
I took my kids to this movie Thanksgiving weekend. These guys missed the part about Kermit living in a mansion, Gonzo being a successful business owner when they found him, and Piggy living the rich glamorous life in Paris. People with money were not demonized.
Now Cars 2 did have a "green" agenda, but to say this movie was anti-oil is a stretch.
Conservatives are always trying to portray themselves as victims, especially social conservatives. They need to get away from having the victim mentality.
Movies have always portrayed corporations as evil. It's why half the libs here do likewise.
Some movies do, some movies don't. Some TV shows do, some TV shows don't. For example, we now have a reality show with CEOs going undercover in their companies and rewarding good employees at the end. All thse CEOs come off looking like great guys. Hollywood produces that show too.
Sometimes a kids program will have what people on the right will call and agenda, and sometime people on the left will have the same complaint about another kids show being too conservative. My kids watch a lot of Disney/Nick and the like and I see a whole lot of pro-corporate stuff. There's even a show for kids on PBS about entrepreneurial endeavors for kids.
There is a wide variety of children's entertainment out there. Some of it is bound to offend someone's sensibilities.

The right-wingers have lost their minds, but that happened a long while back and this new crazy "idea" should come as no surprise to anyone.
