These two have been right before. They warned the dems/obama on obamacare, before they shoved it down our throats, told them NOT to do it, told them the 2010 would be a bloodbath. They were right.
President Obama should abandon his run for a second term and turn over the reins of the Democratic Party to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, two one-time Democratic pollsters wrote in Monday's Wall Street Journal, which appeared online Sunday.
They warned obama NOT to continue with his divisiveness and uber partisanship, to no avail.
Quote:
“One year ago in these pages, we warned that if President Obama continued down his overly partisan road, the nation would be ‘guaranteed two years of political gridlock at a time when we can ill afford it.’ The result has been exactly as we predicted: stalemate in Washington, fights over the debt ceiling, an inability to tackle the debt and deficit, and paralysis exacerbating market turmoil and economic decline,” they write.
I can't imagine this happening. Obama just doesn't seem like the type to step aside. But then again neither was LBJ. But more likely I think Obama's mindset would be that he does not want to go out a failure. He's going to want another term and chance to redeem himself.
What do you mean by "if", you ARE in trouble already given the current republican contenders!
Oh right. With approval numbers on the economy, spending and deficit in the 30s, obama is a shoe in.
He'll be in even better shape if the UE rate stays above 9%, gas stays above $3.50/gal and the deficit tops $16 trillion.
The GOP are leading, tied, or not far behind and the country hasn't even gotten to know them yet.
But they sure as heck know what obama's done.

I don't think there's any way a man with his arrogance and ego would be able to step aside.

The country has gotten to know them, which is why despite approval ratings bouncing between the low and mid 40's Obama leads in the vast majority of the head to head polls.
