I thought obama was going to make decisions based on the "science". It appears the "science" says this is not needed (we already have a stockpile of SP vaccine) and no one knows if it will work.

But, what does that matter when you have a billion dollar donor looking for a little payback?

A little no bid contract and administration officials working tirelessly to make it happen.

Not when the profit point is 180%, an amount deemed OUTRAGEOUS and so far beyond the norm.....but then the administration just went ahead and REPLACE the lead negotiator for someone more amenable to giving this company the best possible profit point they could.

THIS is what you call crony capitalism.

Just wow - read the piece.
sanrene !!! ... On The Money !

Indeed ... How utterly pathetic these WH muppets truly are !!!

I like that..if someone complains then just replace them with a "yes" man.
And people are against corporations ? The USG is the biggest monopoly around and there's no one to put them in there place.

Did they? Prove it.

The campaign of obama was all about "changing" the way things were done in DC, "changing" the revolving door of lobbyists and crony capitalists, "changing" the deliberative process of awarding contracts based on merit and the "science".........these promises/pledges are nowhere to be found in the obama administration.

Instead of changing, he's doubling down. When he was elected, I'd hoped he would have kept the promise about lobbiest. Instead we now have a pay-to-play. Pay Obama big donations and he gives you big tax paycheck.

Is that really all you have to say about it?

I thought this was the kind of stuff the Left hated.
This is the Chicago way. IIRC Obama wanted all companies who wanted to bid for government contracts to include a report of their political donations.

When on the campaign trail candidates say what will get them elected and make many a promise.

The key is to do your homework and see if their past history gives them any credibility.

Obama had none. People didn't vote on what he did in the past but what they hoped he would do in the future based on "words".

Learn your lesson here folks...vote on a candidate's past performance and beliefs. They will say anything to get a vote..anything and promise you the world on a silver platter.

But if they have a blank resume you have nothing to base their promises upon.

It is really sad. For the most part he's been just another figurehead. Just another President. He really could have been the guy. He was/is easily the most exceptional candidate in a long, long time. I guess the system is just too big. Anyone becomes just another cog in the machine. Though, I don't condemn him for being reactionary to the right wing at this point. How long can someone while idiots are doing the "ZOMG NOT MERICUN CAUSE HEZ GOT TEH MUSLIME NAME AND WONT WEAR TEH FLAG PIN HE NOT 1 OF US HE HATE TEH MERICA HE MARXIST COMMUNIST SOCIALIST CLASS WARFARE *other word Glenn Beck taught them this week that they don't know the meaning of*" bulls**t

Oh and of course right wing media will endlessly talk about the "scandal" for as long as they can, even though they didn't care about Halliburton getting a no bid contract 14 times larger...

Based on what though..his campaign promises ?
There was nothing in his past to indicate that what he said was what he did. He was a follower, not a leader. He was an activist, one who stirs up emotions. What did he DO that was important before becoming President ?

Many other past Presidents were Governors and you could read their track record. Obama didn't really have any.

See, you still can't recognize just how much his supporters were lied to and duped as they wept and chanted about his nifty slogans. As they fainted and swooned in the presence of his "imagery".

When will you understand he was a phoney from the very beginning and based his campaign on slogans, catchy phrases, lies, demagoguery, hyperbole and image?

WE told you this from the very first.

So Obama is on the take, big surprise, what politician isn't. I think the only candidate who isn't corrupt is Ron Paul, too bad he's an extreme nutcase.
