We have historically low taxes, which haven't been so low since 1950.
The President has only lowered taxes (during his stimulis package) and continued the Bush tax cuts. Why do we have an entire "party" (aka the tea Party) thats basic existence is dedicated to whining about taxes?

Because I work hard for my money and it seems that our government thinks they are entitled to take 30% of it and waste it away.

Indeed, there is waste. For example, spending money on oil subsidies, or two pointless wars. However, I enjoy having things like roads and police men or schools.

You mean the roads that were supposed to be paid for in many cases by tolls that were eventually supposed to go away after all the expenses were recouped?

And the police and schools that my state income tax and property tax pay for?

Those are great, I agree...now...as for the Federal Government, and their abundance of ridiculous programs that waste money...not so much.

I'll pragmatically accept nothing less than the 1913 rate, give or take a small variance.

I usually complain when I am forced to turn money over to others who did not earn it and who waste it without regard to from whom they took it.

Sadly enough with the state of education in this country many won't even know what your post means.
