Sorry, both sides of the coin are equally as guilty of out-of-context quoting.

They had better think long and hard about just how much they want to have union thugs and goons involved in their campaign rallies. You get high spirited young people not taking the event seriously, many who likely will be unfavorable to Obama. They'll see him as letting them down and just another establishment sell out. They get boisterous, heckle him, maybe get rowdy. Then the union thugs getting paid for being there move to prevent any "problems" or "unfavorable" crowd reactions and suddenly these kids will get beaten or kicked down. Kids who are the sons and daughters of democrats and republicans and independants. Then all hell breaks loose. Or worse, militants like the black panthers get their noses out of joint and go off on the kids.
Obama may just want to play it safe and recruit the Hells Angels as security.

So the man who called for a "new civility" and a "new tone" looks the other way when his supporters call for violence.

Shocker.
Sorry to burst your right-wing bubble but the President is not in charge of Unions or anything a Union Member might say. While we are at it, clean up your side before criticing the other guys, you have plenty of work ahead of you.

Or do you see the context in what he said (making a mention of their voting right to take those SOBs out), and you're merely upset that he said the phrase "Sons of BiT*HES". Even though he was mention their voting right?

I'm honestly asking why are his comments an issue? From the full quote, it clear to me it was talking in a voting context.

I know we all love to jump down the other side throats at every chance....whats the problem here though?
No matter what the context, whether you're talking about voting or anything else, saying you're going to "take these SOB's OUT" is not conducive to the "new tone" and gentler rhetoric called for by obama, the dems and media, is it?

Let's just add in there calling the TP terrorists, calling the GOP/TP barbarians, claiming the TP/GOP wants black men hanging from trees.....

All good, clean, fun rhetoric to you?

"Taking these SOB's OUT" is not a call for violence?

The outrageous comments were made by a guy introducing obama. Oh, in case you haven't noticed - obama and the unions are attached at the hip.

Hoffa said that "We are your (i.e. Obama) army". Barack IS responsible for anything that is said from his supporters.

No, he's not in charge of them. But his VP spoke at a union event. So it's not a stretch to tie his administration to unions.

So, you agree with this violent rhetoric? As for cleaning up "the other side", please give a few examples of speeches that come close to these.

Amazing. The president that can't keep his gaping piehole closed for more than 2 minutes, is surprisingly quiet about this.

I agree that the words were taken out of context and he surely meant to defeat the Tea Party at the POLLs...

Of course the RIGHT WING has jumped on his words and sensationalized them.. something the LEFT WING, NEVER EVER DOES!!!! honestly? pot meet kettle!

Agreed!
