The public option, so that everyone can afford and have access to health care, and lots and lots and lots of birth control so the world's and our country does not keep doubling in as little as 50 years!!!! We will eventually run out of resources for everyone. Not to menion that it will reduce aborions and surely the right wingers can't complain about that!

What credentials did any president have to be able to be President....none....nothing prepares you to be president...even years of politics. It helps you navigate the system but it does nothing to make you understand the crushing burden of the entire country's entire set of problems and trying to keep everyone even slightly happy!

Really! He took away the ownership from the stockholders (illegal) and gave it to the Unions (illigal) which caused the problems in the first place. Define "the poor." I believe he's done very well with both blacks and hispanics some of which are poor. On the other hand he hasn't fared so well with the poor and working poor whites. I see few inconsistancies among the arguments of conservatives.

The auto industry should have filed bankruptcy...so should the banks, but you had no problem bailing them out did you?then they would have gotten back on their feet legally, not thrown the stock holdersthe stockholders didn't get thrown under the bus, they were making it impossible for the car industry to stop making those big gas guzzlers and people started buying European cars because they were already in an oil crisis. But those good ole, stock holders didn't want to give up their profits and make cars more modern, only bigger and more of a gas guzzler. They refused to allow the car makers to quit making those obscend SUV's and Hummers. under the bus (they would have received "some" compensation) and been able to break the Union contracts and get back to square one where they could actually function as a business!

The people who kept their unemployment checks coming until they got employed again, the people who kept their jobs because the states got some Fed money, the auto industry, the clean air industry all seem to think the stimulus helped quite alot. If YOU had any understanding of economics, why would you think it was ok to bail out the banks and insurance and mortgate and hedge fund companies, then when they got their money, to arrange bonuses, vacations an more stock options to their top tier people, then for them to make RECORD BREAKING PROFITS from all that bailout money and hold on to every penny instead of putting it back into the American economy??????????????? How';s that for great economics??????
