The point WAS Bush and Cheney, as flawed as they were, would STILL be better than Obama.

In YOUR opinion, not that of the Majority of Americans.

I'll agree that Bush isn't the man to lead us out of a recession/depression. But Skippy hasn't exactly done anything to help the situation, with all his spending.

What we neeed is someone that knows how to veto a spending bill.

The point IS that without Bush and Cheney making such an absolute total mess out of our nation, Obama's presidency wouldn't have happened. Obama is now sweeping up after those failures.

It's fascinating how the right wingers whine about Obama when he is pretty much a clone of GWB's administration.

It's also fascinating how certain Dems go out of their way to defend the actions of the Obama administration even though they would've been opposed, to the same exact things, if it'd been done by Bush.

People only pay attention to the party of the individual. Instead of paying attention that they all answer to the same corporate bosses.

Sweeping up?

More like laying down even more dung...

You can't point to any Obama accomplishments...and don't say bin Laden because he was deleted by the U.S. Navy, not the community organizer.

I'm not sure Obama should follow the advise of GWB and his merry men. Actually, I doubt if it will matter as Americans usually vote their pocketbook. That would sort of leave BHO out unless the GOP fails to present a strong candidate or blows it with something like a Palin ovature.

BHO has somewhat disenchanted some of his most loyal supporters -- with his pouring money down three war zones -- his lack of solutions for the huge American middle class -- and his unsensitivity to those less educated, telling them to learn a foreign language, preferably spanish as if that will retrieve the jobs the Adm. failed to prevent from disappearing. Perhaps the Pres. doesn't understand english.

If advice would help I suggest going back prior to the Bush era. There was different thinking back then that could work once again, if only it got a chance.

The important thing is that we as a nation remain as factionalized as possible. Choose your side and stand by it 'til you die. Shout over the quieter voices in your head. Political parties MUST be supported like football teams. Don't give an inch, never give a yard. Concessions, compromise, objectivity... the telltale signs of weaklings and cowards. It's all or nothing. If my AM radio has taught me anything, it's that it's better to see the ship sink than have to stoop to lend a hand bailing it out.

Children on a goddamned playground, playing tug-o-war with the swing set.
