When Bush dons a flight suit and pilots a F-22 onto an aircraft carrier bearing his dad's name he is called a national hero.

YouTube - Fahrenheit 9/11 Bush "Boat Party" scene

When Obama thanks the troops he is called a pompous, Muslim foreigner who is taking a "victory lap" and "spiking the football".

YouTube - Part One: Obama and Biden Address the Troops in Kentucky

Why the double standard?

Bush was far more classy and would not have done a spike the football tour IMO.
Look for 9-11 Obama commercials around the time of the DNC convention.

It was a chance for Bush to finally don a flight suit, but I would imagine it was a little roomy in the crotch.

Bush was a pilot.

Obama was a community organizer.

Whatever that means.

If it were Bush , It would not have happened .No trip would have been planed.
He would have let the Generals speak about the battles as he did for eight years. He always gave the military credit , honored them .
Did Obama speak the name of the General at any time so far ?
Bush would have given a General the stage to tell of what happened. There would not be 18 different stories from politicians.

Good point, then one would think he should be better at accomplishing a military mission than a community organizer.

He was a pilot for the USA, so he was in an old uniform.
