When I have had the time to watch television lately, I have been noticing more and more commercials stating that their products are "Made in the USA".

Has anyone else noticed this? Or is it just me?

I've noticed that Menards, a regional home improvement store, will run "Made in the USA" sales about every 8-12 weeks and everything they feature in their weekly circular is a USA manufactured product (and each item has a note saying precisely where it's manufactured.)

I don't know if more products are being made in the US, but I think awareness of what is manufactured here is probably increasing.

Definitely a good thing - especially if the product is good quality.

That is exactly what I think it is, awareness. I think that if people are shown what is made here, they may look for it when they are buying a particular product, having in mind that they are contributing to our domestic economy.

I haven't seen any local ads like you are talking about and would welcome them.

I try to buy American made products and locally grown food when ever possible. Even more so if the products have a Union lable.

Very happy about this, and about the frig time. Not always an easy task to find American Made Prouducts, i do suggest that you many fine posters on this site, that do know of American Made products, please pass the info to the rest of us. Trying to find American Made Furnishings, and lighting, was not easy, but that is where the p.c. and search, come into play.

Since we are on the subject, looking for a really nice office chair traditional style, any American Made Companies that make office chairs!

They're all Dutch, on the side of Michigan protected from Lake Michigan.

I really do try to find American made products whenever shopping for major purchases. It is something I was brought up to believe in.

My grandparents pretty much raised me and they did that as well, so it became just the way to do things. I teach my kids to do the same.

This reminds me of a former employer that used to require his mail clerk to stamp every envelope he sent out with a "Buy American" stamp.
