I actually work for a government subcontractor and am personally looking forward to it and watching the rest of the ignorant Democrat, Northern Virginian, transplant, sheeple panic.

Will the IRS shut down?

Will the elderly still receive their Social Security?

Will Americans still be able to enjoy the National Parks?

Won't most of the government still stay open (business as usual)?

SS and Medicare/Medicaid will still be going, but no government employee will be paid, including the President and all legislature.

No. Mostly yes. No. No.

But much could be disrupted. New retirees, for example, might not get their Social Security checks, the White House warns. And if the past shutdowns — also brought about by budget fights — are an indication, national parks would close, federal employees would be furloughed and applications for U.S. passports would be delayed. Tax refunds would also be suspended, Gardner noted. What would close during a government shutdown - MarketWatch

In Wisconsin, the Democrats are wanting to compromise, Republicans are refusing to compromise. Even though polls show a majority of the state wants Republicans to do so.

In a federal shutdown, the Democrats again are willing to compromise, while Republicans are refusing to compromise. Even though polls show that a majority of the population wants them to do so.

One thing we've learned from Democrats is you dont pay attention to the polls..

Stimulus, TARP, healthcare, .. yeah, you get the drift

Now all of a sudden you want polls to matter.. Why because you disagree with the course being taken?

Great way to compromise. Run away and hold your breath until you turn blue.

Polls, schmolls. The only important poll is held in November. And no matter how many union thugs take the day off and try to intimidate them, the American people have had it up to here with unfunded giveaways. There`s no more slop in the trough.

Period.
