I would say that if the politician, that is heavily financed by a certain business owner or small group of owners, makes his first bill one that allows him to sell public property for whatever price and whomever he may want, in a closed bid way, that just "happens" to be in the same business area the original benefactors work, there may be some impropriety involved. That would be my opinion whether the politician is a Conservative or not.
So your answer to the debt and deficit problem is this-
Keep spending, let hyperinflation or marked currency devaluation to occur, and let anarchy unfold?
Sounds like the "Somalia solution". Certainly that is a great place to live. Why is it when someone even scratches the surface of entitlement cuts liberals go crazy? Don't you realize much more marked cuts are actually needed?
The democrats/fleebaggers are seeing their demise as per the latest election and the dismantling of the destructive unions. The GOP will continue to rise and will work hard to restore this country back to what it once was. The day of entitlement living is going bye bye!
What GOP? You mean Congressman Ron Paul? He is seemingly about the only one with old fashioned Republican values left. All the other so-called Republicans are just as irresponsible as the Democrats are with our tax dollars. All the RINO neo-cons which make up 90% of the Republicans have co-opted the tea-partiers or flea baggers as you call them.

How was that ^^^ an answer to florida.bob's post?
Maybe you're in the wrong thread. Certainly seems off topic to me.
Scott Walker recognizes the need for fiscal responsibility. This concept is foreign to many democratic legislators. I seriously doubt this is the end of the GOP.
Being from Texas, you automatically have a very rose colored view of the GOP.
I don't think it's the end for the GOP, however, I do believe independents generally look at Texas in order to get a feel of how Republicans will govern in Washington.
We are in billions of dollars in debt, proposing drastic cuts to education that will most certainly cripple the system. Furthermore, people from other states are learning how freely we give out tax breaks in Texas in order to attract new business. This has raised our defecit and crippled our budget.
The legislation in Arizona offends the vast majority of Hispanics, including conservative Hispanics. And, of course, we have what's going on in Wisconsin.
This is not sitting well with average Americans and it's hurting Republicans.
Such passionate defense of Gov. Walker....all over this board.....as well as in this thread with the above post! Are you a resident of WI? Is that why this issue is so important to you, as is evidenced by your very passionate defense of Walker in your posts?
I own property in WI, and therefore pay WI property tax.
And yes, the fact that the teachers' union has been ripping off the WI taxpayers by overcharging by at least $400 million for union-owned health insurance over the last 8 years, and would continue to do so to the tune of $68 million per year (current estimate) if it wasn't for Walker is important to me.

Walker's desperation in his tweets is increasing, now he is lamenting "short term poll watching". What do you say, about 11 months left as Gov? Perhaps some of the Sens, much less than that.

Well, then, your passionate posts on this issue certainly make sense.

Your confusing a political party label, with an individuals ideology.
Parties change all the time. Individuals don't.
Ron and Rand Paul, have set a very high standard.
Individuals, not party labels will change and mold this nation back to where we belong.
