Muslim-TV exec found guilty of beheading wife - U.S. news - Crime & courts - msnbc.com

"Muzzammil "Mo" Hassan never denied that he killed Aasiya Hassan inside the suburban Buffalo station the couple established to promote cultural understanding.

The Hassans started the Bridges TV network in 2004, saying they wanted to counter negative stereotypes and media portrayals of Muslims in a post-9/11 world.

...the manner in which she died prompted speculation her death was an honor killing. The practice is still accepted among some fanatical Muslim men, including in the couple's native Pakistan, who feel betrayed by their wives."

Gee, maybe we do just need to be more accepting of their culture.

And ask yourself, 'Would I want my daughter to date/marry someone of this culture/religion?' Would you want them living next door?

As long as people who live in this country follow our laws, I don't care what their religion is.

I think it's disgustingly narrow-minded and anti-freedom to castigate an entire religion based on the actions of a few. If a Christian murders someone, I don't automatically assume that all Christians are murderers. Only a blasted fool would think that way.

Yeah, because it is only "a few" doing it. Right. Look to almost any corner of the World and Muslims are going crazy, causing trouble, and killing people in the name of a peaceful religion. Heck, I just got back from Thailand (Mostly Buddhist) and even in Southern Thailand, there are muslims causing trouble and killing.

Generally I agree with you.

However it's an important point of interest to consider that it's extremely rare that any Christian commits murder and bases it on the teachings of their religion.

True. When a Christian does it, he hires a team of Jewish lawyers to get him out of trouble.

When's the last time a group of Christan missionaries, acting on their understanding of God's word, hijacked a plane and flew it into a building full of Muslims? How many Christians blew themselves up in markets, police stations, crowded buses, or wedding celebrations this week? How many historic sites were oblitered recently by Christians convinced that the value of such sites were nil because it disagreed with their belief?

Go ahead. I'll wait while you think this through.

No. Nor did I imply that he did.

The Iraq War--which is still ongoing--was mainly a Christian Zionist power-trip.
