Default The 8 GOP Senators Who Voted To Keep On Earmarking

Eight GOP senators voted to preserve earmark spending by voting against the earmark ban:

Thad Cochran (Miss.),
Susan Collins (Maine),
James Inhofe (Okla.),
Dick Lugar (Ind.),
Lisa Murkowski (Alaska)
Richard Shelby (Ala.)

Retiring Sen. George Voinovich (Ohio)
defeated Sen. Bob Bennett (Utah)

Senate votes down ban on earmarks, 39-56 - The Hill's On The Money

"The Senate on Tuesday morning defeated a proposal from Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) to ban congressional earmarks. In a 39-56 vote, members defeated a temporary ban on the appropriations procedure. The moratorium was offered as an amendment to a food-safety bill that is scheduled for a final vote Tuesday morning."

I don't see John Kyl on that list, he ear marked $200 million last week, only 3 days after McConnells statement

JUST ONE MORE REPUBLIKORP LIE

Banning earmarks is more of a symbolic gesture and victory. In the scheme of things, namely a $4 Trillion dollar budget, it means little.

However, the practice of earmarks leads to all that is wrong with congress, the graft, payback and corruption starts right there.

I smell primary challenges for some of these and we better start now getting together the best candidates we can find for 2012.

Oops; just saw your dup thread post.

I was sure that the RINOs would surely vote against this one. Also there are a couple of left leaners in the group along with the one who shouldn't even have run for the office. Murkowski has proved that she is another vote for the Democrats and the Alaskan Republicans will get what they had coming.

I haven't looked at who the six non-voters were.

Sorry, but that wasn't an earmark. Not even the WH agrees with you.
