A majority of Americans are ignorant of politics, the midterm elections only reflect that. It makes sense that we have rewarded incompetence by electing more members of the Republican Party.

So we get the government we deserve, and now gridlock is all but assured.

Sadly, as long as a majority of voting Americans remain clueless, we all will suffer.

Yup, the only time American's displayed their intelligence was electing obama, makes perfect sense to me... So what should all us clueless do?

Way too many words. I edited your original statement to be more concise.

Yep, record spending and deficits all up in smoke.

When will the American people ever learn?

We absolutely just got what we deserved having had to right the mistake made by the odannys of the country in electing the inexperienced puppet named obama and his cast of democrat sycophants that have done more to destroy this country in two years than even the worst we imagined.

Seems to me that odanny is the "ignorant" one as our system has just worked as designed. The majority of us will take "gridlock" over any more of the juggears-in-chief's big government policies and taxes. His supporters were blinded by snappy lines written for him and thousands of dollars worth of dental work. I think we can all see who the "ignorant" ones were.

NO. We had the government we deserved for the huge mistake of 2008 but now the people have spoken out about that mistake.

Gridlock, you say? Of course, you don't understand that only if the Democrats play the political game will there be gridlock. The membership of the Senate will be very near a split and the House is even more controlled by Republicans than it was by Democrats.

As soon as the Democrat Party takes back control of the party from the progressives that have taken it over the last few years we will see what real intelligence is.

Lets see, now. I read for days that the Republicans would be on here howling and crying about what had happened to them and here we have the howlers in full cry although the ones who called for it are doing the howling.

The OP was right on target. Let's see how many of the teabaggers out there change their tune when their government jobs are taken away, or their unemployment benefits end, or their street lights are shut off, or their SS is cut, or when unemployment hits 15%.

What exactly was the alternative? Vote more Democrats so they can grow the deficits from $1.3T a year to $2.5T.. yeah, because we've all seen how wonderful the economy is with government spending..

wooo hooo.. where do we sign up!!

btw, were we "ignorant" when we voted in Obama who has done NOTHING to make anything better?
