Should the CEOs and top level executives of corporations that recieve bailouts, subsidies, etc. from government be forced to take mandatory drug tests?
Depends on what type of aid? Most of it is being paid back. We (treasury) already got paid back with the Citi bailout and stand to make a nice profit on it. Along with all the other big banks (paid back bailout with interest).
Although, what they should do is stop letting the banks earn risk free profit through the FED discount window/bond purchase arbitrage.. but that is another issue. The banks are guilty of other things that have nothing to do with the bailout (that is a distraction) but are constant "loopholes" in the use of taxpayer money.
The only 2 that are really "bailouts" are GM & AIG.. we'll see how the GM IPO goes and see if they can pay us back all the bailout money they received.
Now, are welfare recipients paying back the $20,000 average a year they receive?

simple answer, STOP having the liberals bailout the businessses...sorry but there should never be a 'too big to fail'
Gm could provide a good product that sells...go bankrupt...split the company into many small companies
We do not do it for the lazy welfare bums who steal from us taxpayers as we all know most of them are healthy enough to work so why should be do this?
Willing to bet that you wont find very many highly successful CEO's who are on drugs but you will find a high percent of loser bums sucking off the rest of us having drugs in their system.
End welfare for everyone and make losers earn their keep.
Couldn't put it any better, Sunny! Also, if you check, at many corporations they already do drug testing. My husband works for a large company and is an exec and can be tested any time.

stop bailing out FAILURES
I would agree here, but it's not just the "liberals".
Anyone remember that Glenn Beck defended the Wall Street bailouts in the fall of 2008 and only turned against the bailouts once Bush was no longer in office?

The US government is owned by big business.

stop welfare for all, personal and corporate
Corporate welfare is far more corrupting and has far worse effects on society.
Obviously, your post is intended to divert attention away from the real issue of welfare recipients selling food stamp cards (my tax dollars) for street drugs. This has the effect of depriving innocent children of food and promoting the illegal drug industry.
If it makes you sleep better at night knowing the executives of all those banks that contributed so heavily to Democrats in 2008 have to also do a wiz quiz in addition to the customary bribery to keep those legislative loopholes and regulatory exemptions flowing, so be it. I would prefer they not get a dime, they not be to large to fail and unable to reward our lawmakers leaving office for their years of loyal service with cushy multi-million dollar lobbyist jobs and board seats.
When Clinton repealed Glass-Steigal many large financial institutions became "too large to fail", so when this Congress passed comprehensive financial reform, why wasn't Glass-Steigal or equivalent legislation a part of the reforms?
Outsourcing?
BOTH parties are equally guilty of the customary bribery you speak of.
Corporate welfare CEOs cost our economy way more than the welfare recipients who collect food stamps.
I have read your posts on 'welfare recipients' before & if you wish to believe those who need food stamps are worse for this country than corporate blood suckers who use your money to bail themselves out, then go for it.

Yes but, the corporation pays for it.
Do you people who complain about food stamp recipients want to pay MORE for drug testing?
If so, then I agree.
Drugs like coke are not the only abused drugs rich and powerful have unlimited access, drugs to boost stamina, reduce the stress of life or business, reduce pain, lose wieght or improve the mental state are also abused. Most of our rich have concierge medcine and can buy a doctor to provide almost any amount of any drug even for drugs whose use is restriced and use them for non-standard uses. Just ask the King of Pop but you might need a Quiji board to reach Micheal.
