Apparently the OP has not attended many funerals for US servicemen and women. There is a huge outpouring of public support for the families and show of respect for the fallen. Suggest the OP offer his sometime.
Lee Greenwood made a few minor changes to the lyrics because he sees what most conservatives are blind too. That people in "socialist Canada" have relatives that come home in boxes too. But unlike our country, the bodies are not snuck off transport planes in the dead of night and wiskedaway under cover of dark to a local funeral home for a "private" burial where the media is barred.
No they unload their dead in the daytime and people come out to celebrate the lives of the dead and be with the family.
So that was Greenwood singing then, I thought so but never heard this version
before. Btw that video only shows a section of highway between the military base
in Trenton Ontario and Toronto, we see the same type of crowds along the whole
route as those who paid the ultimate sacrifice are returned to their home towns.

What the heck are you talking about?
Another incredibly misleading and inflammatory thread. And you can intuit what Lee Greenwood is thinking I gather?

Your link forces me to open AC_RunActiveContent.js., thanks but no thanks.
Do you dispute KevK's claim about the bodies of US soldiers being unloaded
from transport planes under the cover of darkness?
That's actually part of the problem. Leftists, who have never had extraordinary foresight, want to see a golden city on the hill yesterday. On the contrary, conservative visionaries know that a democracy is not built overnight, nor will its influences take root overnight. Leftists will never support Iraq because they simply don't have the visions of prosperity. They only see the headlines of today.

I have no faith in the crystal balls the right depends on.
First of all, the Canadian effort in Afghanistan is to be applauded and Canada’s sons and daughters who have given the ultimate sacrifice for the cause of freedom are absolutely to be revered.
But we are talking about something that was said on a show that comes on at 3am ET. And we are talking about one very poor joke that was issued more than a year ago. In the first place it was not “all of Fox News” that went about trashing dead warrior Canadians. It was a comedian on a comedy show doing what comedians do.
I can agree that given the context of what Canada has done in Afghanistan, it is in poor taste but what comedian goes a whole career without doing something in poor taste? Please
How about we find something valid and recent to be outraged about?
