That's okay, we should never assign responsibility for anything that happening during Bush's presidency to him.

It's completely and totally unpatriotic and delusional to do anything remotely like that.

We should always blame Clinton or Obama for everything that happened during that time frame, or anything that originated there.

/snark

Like Micheal Steele said "Afghanistan is war of Obama's Choosing".

How true! Everything that's wrong is either Obama or Clinton's fault. And congress was in the Dems' hands for a whole 10 months before the bottom fell out. Why hadn't I seen that? It's so clear to me now.

And if you are still active in the forum in 2013 there will be a shift the {R}s will be blaming Obama and the {D}s will be saying we have a {R} POTUS and will defend Obama. Some things never change

Really?

"The immediate cause or trigger of the crisis was the bursting of the United States housing bubble which peaked in approximately 2005–2006. Already-rising default rates on "subprime" and adjustable rate mortgages (ARM) began to increase quickly thereafter."

Sounds like the send 2006/start of 2007. That's when I got my stimulus money to put in the bank!

Financial crisis of 2007

So it's only the composition of the congress after the crisis started that matters, not the largely republican majority the previous 10 years (save the 50 50 in the senate in 2001-2003) that had absolutely nothing to do with it?

Composition of Congress, by Political Party, 1855

If it was republican primarily during the tech bust (and a few years before), by that reasoning, wouldn't they be responsible for that instead of blaming Clinton on it? You can't have it both ways matey! It can't be the fault of congress when you want it to be, then the president when you feel like it (Yaaaaar).

Or is it that if anyone is Democratic, they get the blame for anything happening at (or near) that time?

You are correct. Now if we can only convince Obama.

hec the rebublicans are still blaiming Jimmy Carter for the problems today, and he left office 30 years ago.

So you got to figure George W. Bush still has shelflife of at least another 25 30 years

George W Bush is being blamed because its his fault. He is the one to blame.

The mess that Dubya placed America in, by trying to cater to the country club set, will take Obama at least 5 or 6 years to correct.

The Dubya Administration brought America to the brink, literally and President Obama has kept us from teetering over into the abyss. Republicans seem to have a very short memory....that or the power of their denial is almighty.
