Democrats cant go home asking to be elected again increasing the debt even more.

This just shows that democrats are aware at how unhappy Americans are with their spending yet they are still spending.

Dems won’t pass budget in 2010

A slightly different, perhaps more objective view.
“It isn’t possible to debate and pass a realistic, long-term budget until we’ve considered the bipartisan commission’s deficit-reduction plan, which is expected in December,” according to Hoyer’s prepared remarks that were provided to The Hill.
Well, okay - IF the commission comes out with a good plan, it makes sense to wait on the budget, rather than doing it twice.
The House has never failed to pass an annual budget resolution since the current budget rules were put into place in 1974. Hoyer this spring noted that the GOP-led Congress didn’t pass a final resolution in 1998, 2004 and 2006.
Well, the House has to pass the thing for the Senate to get a crack at it (and get a final resolution passed), but Hoyer's point is taken - the world didn't come to an end when the Republicans failed to pass a final resolution in those three years, so it will likely survive this year.

Exactly! Democrats are trying to hide their horrendously out-of-control spending because they know they're toast if the 2011 budget with its massively record-breaking deficit goes public before the November midterm elections.

Oh, they're very well aware when it comes to saving their own skin. But when it comes to gouging hardworking taxpaying Americans, they don't give a flying f_ck.

If they were waiting to pass the budget till they get the report that means they wont spend a penny till that report. Bet that doesnt happen

Democrats know they cant go home spending more then they already have.

That would be valid if budgets were created for long term financial spending, but they arent.. they are created 1 year at a time, and since the US Governments fiscal year ends September 30th, 2010.. There is NO reason not to pass a budget for 2011, when the report for spending wont be completed until 2nd quarter of next fiscal year, and couldnt possibly be put into place until the 2012 budget year..

Actually it doesnt.. If the commission comes out with a good plan, it wont be until TWO quarters into next years budgets, and thereby wouldnt take place until 2012 year. The federal governments budgets do not go Jan to Dec, its Oct to Sept

There is a difference between a final resolution, and a budget resolution. One is a plan, the other one is just winging it as you go along. Dont stop making excuses though!!!

We really should go to a two-year budget cycle. One year rushes the process too much so no one has a good handle on it. The contracting process itself takes up to 6 months.
