The purpose of the fund is to make sure BP pays for it, and to make sure those who need the help, get the help ASAP, not waiting upwards of 20 years in order to get the help, which is exactly what has happened with some people in the Exxon-Valdez spill of 1989.
They should pay. BP is not the only contributer to this mess. They were given a safety award for goodness sakes, by your beloved administration, so maybe they should pay too??? I hope these people get the help and money they need, but I doubt that it will happen as fast as needed. I just agree with her that this admin needs to keep it's hands off of the people's money. They also lie cheat and steal..

O'Reilly wrote an article for Parade magazine citing Obama as an ideal role model for American children to follow.

O'Reilly is a conservative but one with a little more journalistic integrity than most. I disagree with him most of the time but do admit that he's on a different level from Hannity and Limbaugh's partisan hackery or Beck's rabid paranoia and demagoguery. Just like Rachel Maddow has more journalistic integrity than Olbermann or Schultz.

O'reilly has always been hell on oil companies. He talked about nationalizing them when gas went over $4. He is no conservative.

Of course he is. Beck wins in that category though. He's become just a shill for his own merchandise. He cranks out books faster than anyone. This is what happens when show hosts become popular; the show becomes them. Hats, t-shirts, personal appearances, books, cd's, and rallies. The issues don't matter; it's the cult of personality.

Because the looney left is always trying to find ways to bash Fox News. I may not always agree with O'Reily, but at least he is a man of principle and takes a stand for what he believes in.

Again, unlike the left.

I think a great many people aren't left or right.....they just want solid leadership and fair way of life. It is all the silly polarizing that is ruining the spirit of America. Even if we feel differently about a whole variety of issues doesn't mean we don't agree on a great many things. We shouldn't lose sight of that.
