My mom is visiting next weekend, and she's interested in seeing Polish Hill and going to any shops that have Polish stuff (both food items and gifts, collectibles, etc). I'm aware of the big beautiful church on Polish Hill (and its Warhol connection) and the Polish eatery in The Strip but beyond that, I'm unaware of the best places to take her.

Suggestions welcome!

There isn't much in Polish Hill. The business district died a long time ago. There are two bars (Rock Room and Gooski's) and there is a Polish Deli (called Alfred's Deli). That's about it. This is no "Polish Wonderland" as you envision. The only places that are worth walking around in are South Side, Bloomfield, Shady Side, and Squirrel Hill. Every other neighborhood is pretty dead.

there is plenty to do in polish hill and pittsburgh in general... shame on you iwonder... although true enough that most of the entertainment in polish hill revolves around bars and libations... there is the west penn public pool in the summer, adult pick up soccer in the fall and spring, there is a ***** friendly bar/ night club... donny's at the bottom of the hill, and a ton of other community events revolving around the polish hill civic associaction....
