robrobrob's point was that it makes sense to figure out where you will be working first and then decide where to live. He then gave an example of where he would look if he was working in Oakland. So that was a hypothetical scenario for illustrative purposes.

"No bridges, no tunnels" That was my realtor's advice on choosing a place to live - make sure there are no potential onbstructions between home and work. A bridge or tunnel closed for maintenance can cause months of painfully long commuting.

Nope, not confusing at all. There just seems to be a lack of reading comprehension by some (hotlanta).

To the OP, if you want your taxes to be lower, move out of Allegheny County.
