Apparently there is a new place downtown that is booming called Sonoma. I've ever been there yet but hear nothing but shining reviews.

forewarning- I am biased, hubby is in the foodie business...

My favs, ie places we eat a lot: Kaya, Sarafino's, Umi, Mendoza Express, and Ibiza.

BUT- we haven't been everywhere yet!

Dunno about all that have tartar, but Capital Grill has it.

Lots of good choices.

My personal favorites for upscale dining include Cafe Allegro, Legume, Point Brugge Cafe, Casbah, and Alexander's (Alexander's is more family than upscale, but my favorite Italian place so I couldn't leave it off).

Can everyone please say where the restaurants they recommended are and what style of food they serve? Several of you have named places I've never heard of and I would like to know more if you could be so kind!
