The Carriage House in Squirrel Hill has a very good reputation. But it is also very difficult to get into and rather pricey from what I have heard.

I also have friends who have had their children in the Mount Lebanon Montessori school and speak well of it. But that is quite a ways from your work place so maybe not a good option.

The reason why this question is not getting answers is that it's sort of unanswerable. There are dozens upon dozens of preschools in Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas (hundreds if we're counting the suburbs) and the public school systems also run limited pre-K programs. Hundreds of preschools, thousands of square miles of metro area, no one is going to be able to narrow this down to a single neighborhood and a single preschool not knowing anything about the OP and their needs and budget.

Find the place you want to live first, then locate the nearest preschool program.

I agree. You could also ask a contact at the Canonsburg office where you'll be working, or corporate human resources people, for suggestions on apartments and nearby preschools. Keep in mind that some private preschools may be have a waiting list and you may not be able to get right in.

You could also contact ImaginePittsburgh.com : Find a Job, Build a Life You'll Love in the Pittsburgh Region and also check out this newcomer guide http://vibrantpittsburgh.org/wp-cont...ev11_Dec11.pdf

Good luck

There is a large indian Population in scott twp and greentree. I have worked for alot of families who had previously lived in carriage park apartments before they purchased their home. You will find alot of excellent preschools in that area. Sorry i am ignorant to the fact if they were northern or southern Indian. If you choose that area the school district is above average.

Lots of South Indians out in Monroeville area, too, with the SV Temple and Udipi Cafe out that way.

I would think it would be harder to get into a good preschool than apartment, so I'd start by finding a preschool then looking for a nearby apartment. Good luck!
