Initial shock wanes on Kennywood beer sales - Pittsburgh Tribune-Review

Not sure if I like that or not? I do love beer, but Kennywood is so old and has such history. Will this be the first time beer was sold? I was bummed when a Spanish company bought it, but beer? Not sure yet. Need to have a single malt and think about it.

I can't wait until some drunk idiot gets in the front row on Phantom's Revenge and blasts himself and everybody behind him with vomit.

Or climbs the fence to a coaster and gets decapitated. It happens at amusement parks more often than people think. A drunk-related decapitation will happen before the park closes for the year. I bet on that.

But, if they serve beer at Chuck-E-Cheese, why shouldn't Kennywood do the same? In fact, since hs football is so popular around here, it would be nice to see beer served during the games. It would help offset the budget problems schools are facing. I'm serious about it. Most County Fairs serve alcohol and are still family-friendly, why not hs football games? People were worried when full-nudity strip clubs were allowed to start serving beer, but I haven't seen an uptick in incidences at the clubs I frequent. The vast majority of people can handle their watered-down IC Light without a problem.

Man, talk about wanting to see more problems. Too many parents already don't know how to behave at high school sporting events. How long would it be before some drunk dad assaulted a coach, or referee?

That's what happens when you let foreigners take over.

I highly doubt someone is going to pay the big entrance fee and then buy enough $8 dollar light beers to be drunk enough to get decapitated.

Just like Cedar Point...we would drink in the parking lot and tailgate for roller coasters...

If someone wnants to get plastered they'll do it before they get in.

Yeah, don't people already bring beer to their picnics or whatever there?

Yep, which is why serving beer isn't going to make much of a difference if they're drunk already.

What I find funny is the same posters complaining about archaic liquor laws are the same ones complaining when establishments are relaxing their own liquor policies.
