Hey I just seen some recent photo of that corner where Liberty Travel Supercuts used to be an noticed the building that housed Liberty Travel has been gutted and currently under construction...

Any idea what's going in there? and please tell me they took the FRIGGIN Powerball billboard down....

This was from a while ago, but PNC was planning to buy the parcels and build some new office space, so I assume that is happening:

PNC to buy building on Liberty

Quote:
Corey Layman, a senior planner with the city, said PNC would replace the current facade with a more modern design and create an environmentally friendly green building. He said the small building, which until recently housed Liberty Travel, will be used for office space. It's not known whether the bank intends to use the property for its own workers or to lease it to others.
And yes, the billboards are permanently gone--generally I think it is fair to say PNC is doing this project in large part to provide a more attractive corner to their overall campus of buildings in that area.

Here is a gallery of the renovation. It is just as much of a work of art as it is a renovation. It will do that prominent corner justice.

Cool! From the renderings it does look like an office project, but that is clearly just incidental to putting something attractive on that corner.
