Here is one more for good measure, this one is sitting under a few inches of water. They are called Ochre Sea Stars, most common to the PNW and the fastest moving of all sea stars, they travel in swarms. They come in solid colors ranging from ochre yellow/orange and bright red, blue and purple. They all have the white spots on them.
This next is a tiny crab, less that a quarter of an inch in width, with a tiny sea snail on the stone. The crab is well camoflaged.
I guess these fellows qualify as marine life around here. This picture is of 6 otters that were swimming with a larger group of 20 otters, all munching on herring and little crabs. They were quite a long distance away from me and the picture had to be cropped and resized so it's rather fuzzy but you can still see their little faces. They are very clownish creatures in their social behaviour and were talking at me, making funny noises.
This picture is of a bunch of different kinds of sea plants and algae growing in a tide pool.
