Need more info. What model Coolpix? How long ago did you buy it? How much have you used it? Did it ever work properly? What computer? What software are you processing the picture with? Where are you seeing the pink-red image, on your computer or on the camera? If on the computer, what program are you using to view it?
looks like a white balance issue. also the reds may be blown out in the lower left. , check your histogram or try shooting -.7 or -1 exposure comp. reds naturally come out to the pink side .. red is the hardest color to capture. in fact a red coke can in its actual color can be near impossible..
its either to the pink side or red like a tomatoe skin... try it, you will be amazed how impossible it gets
Don't know the model Coolpix, but it cost about $150. Got it a couple months ago and it never photographed red without pink on any setting. Used a friend's $350 Nikkon to photograph same items and the reds were true to color.
