Well this isn't so much about "Old" Geology, but new in the making...

We are at anchor in Cook Inlet, Alaska and this evening the sun was setting and I took this photo looking across the Inlet at Redoubt Volcano sitting there quietly for now, just having an evening "Smoke"...

boulder field, hickory run, pa. the results of a resting glacier...10,000 or so years ago.

this is actually a small field near the actual boulder field. That is much much bigger....miles and miles of boulders.
