A couple of years ago hubby an I took a vacation we called "The Great Lighthouse Tour". We traveled from our home in Florida to Maine visiting lighthouses along the way. Here are a few shots.
East Quoddy Head lighthouse - Campobello Island N.B. Canada
You can walk to this lighthouse at low tide, but heed the warning in this sign, people have been killed attempting to make it through the rising water.
West Quoddy Head Lighthouse, Lubec Maine easternmost point in the U.S. - East Quoddy head is in Canada, giving West Quoddy Head it's ironic name.
This lighthouse is one of the most photographed lighthouses second only to the Portland head light.
