Yes, you got it! Brookfield Zoo's buttefly exhibit is where I took the pics last weekend. Its a lot of fun in there and makes for some nice photo ops if you dont spook the little guys.

Yes, its a hornet of some type, I know that much. Couldnt tell you the genus or species though, sorry!

That's a Garden Spider - Argiope aurantia - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - harmless, but good for eliminating some of the pests in your garden.
