shoot darker pj8, your loosing the white detail..... you dont want the whites to look like featurless vanilla ice cream or reds to look smooth and plain like a tomato skin.
if you have a histogram keep it well off the right wall.

Ha ha. I'm new at this. I don't know how to "shoot darker" and I have no idea what a "histogram" or a "right wall" is. I still have lots to learn. Sure wish there were more hours in a day!
