Just made my entry, but I had a hard time letting this one go...
The last train home: Canon 40D + Canon 35mm f/1.4L, 5sec, f/5, ISO100.
Fuzz, I really like both of your blur images. It's sometimes hard to pick just one! Looks like you had fun trying different types of shots.
After doing a bit more experimenting myself I have narrowed my entry down to two as well. But at this point it going come down to a coin toss as I like both for different reasons.
One thing is for sure. Trying blurred shots this month has really stretched my normal way of seeing things.
Still working on mine. I have a couple that I may fall back on that I took a couple days ago, but am hoping for some better ones in a couple days. I have an idea, that I hope comes out on the sensor as cool as it is in my mind (not that usually happens though 99% of the time.)
Ok, so like Fuzz I had two shots I liked. In my case it was a coin toss. Here is the other one which is a totally different kind of blur, mood, look and subject. I like the almost painting like effect the blur created with this Aspen forest. It was definately fun experimenting with these new type of shots.
For my official submission, I took about 50 shots -- only about 5 of them came out well enough where I got the focus more or less on the face.
Another from the tire-swing series. For this one, I had to lay REALLY flat on the ground and keep swinging the tire hard - if it slowed down too much, it would descend and hit the camera.
And another one from the train series. Ran a length of decorative Christmas lights through the train for the lighting (including the one on the platform). Took long exposures and moved the train by hand on the tracks. Experimented with different stationary positions of the train to "burn it" into the frame amid the blur of the movement. Also painted the front of the train with a very low-power LED flashlight.
I know what you mean about having to choose. I had a difficult time between the one I entered and this one. I had to call in the help of my two oldest sons (10 and 12) to see which one they thought I should enter.

I'm really liking the variety of shots with this month's theme.
The football players' movements in the shot above, especially the the right side, look really cool. And that's coming from someone who's not a real big football fan.

I like your official entry better as well. The central player's face is more in focus, which makes it work better than everything being blurry.
Infamous92, I love your entry. I swear I get dizzy just looking at it. It looks as if it is moving. Nice shot!!
Thank you very much, I'm very happy that at least someone likes it lol. I liked it because I also get dizzy looking at it and it looks like it's moving somehow.
