I went out today thinking the theme would be patriotic, so I was taking pix of the statue of liberty in Liberty State Park, Jersey City- But I did manage to get a picture of what I THINK follows the theme "Contrast".

Here we have the Lower Manhattan NYC skyline and one Jersey City tower. I think we all know what skyscraper dominates this picture.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but is this an example of "Contrast"?

I hate that I have to use my cell phone- I should really get a new camera (my only camera broke)--- My statue of liberty shots are utter failures because of this. The statue is so much closer than the cell phone wants to make it appear, plus the all the blur and no zoom- I was really disappointed when I came home and saw all the shots.

Contrast the classic cars in the background that led up to experimental cars like the 81 DeLorean! Taken July 5th at the Tupelo car museum.

Big Sur Seastacks taken 7.05.2010. This image contrasts the whitewater stricking the dark rock. It also contrast the large seastack and small bird sitting on top of it, as well as the peaceful summer blooms and rough ocean waves crashing in.

To me contrast could be a few different things. (Besides sounding like a really weird word) But in this picture it is the contrast between the dark Lake Superior shoreline and the brighter sunset and water. Taken 7/22/10 here in Michigans amazing U.P.
