Big Sur coast and the Little Sur River flowing into it on July 5.
This is one of my favorite views along Hwy 1 in Big Sur. I've watched deer and other animals walk along the river on their way to the coast. This day the fog was just clearing. The sun was sparkling on the water and making the the bush lupine and other wildflowers pop with color.
This is a picture I took on 7/21/10 while hiking in the Porcupine Mountain National Park here in the U.P of Michigan. There is a reason why this is one of the nations most sought after locations as these scenes can be found all throughout the parks 31,000 acres. There are hundreds of waterfalls here, most are small but there are also some much bigger.
