I am interested in purchasing a second home, either condo or small single family home. My husband works in Phoenix, commutes there weekly and is currently renting in Scottsdale. Any ideas of neighborhoods in that area that would be good to purchase a second home? We do not plan to live there full time, but he will spend week days there.

Provide a little more information with regard to where he works (location), how far he is willing to commute, how much space, what your budget is like, what type of amenities you desire, etc.

So confused
I am trying to decide on an area to purchase a 2nd home. My husband lives in Scottsdale M-F for work and is currently renting. Me and the kids live in Cali and are not moving there full time. Looking for a good place to buy a second home or condo so he can continue to commute and we don't have to keep paying rent. He comes home every weekend and at this point we spend mininal time there as a family. We do want a safe area with good resale values. Any condo complexes you can recommend, or single family neighborhoods?

Since he is here five days a week, he should have some time to look around within a reasonable distance of where he works. There are lots of nice areas in Scottsdale and nearby. You haven't told us the area where he is working, which might help with some suggestions.

Why not consider The Dakota At Camelback in the Biltmore area? Just a few minutes from the airport (about 8 miles).

I think the OP means the SCOTTSDALE airport. Anything out in that area would be fine. I don't have any specific suggestions, but perhaps someone else will. You can look around on the real estate websites for condos in that area.
