We are thinking about moving from south Scottsdale to Guadalupe and Hardy. We are pretty familiar with Tempe around the university area, as we both went to college there, but are unsure of the more southern areas.

What is this area like in terms of crime, demographics, etc? We are trying to get a feel for what the neighborhood will be like. Thanks!

That area should be fine. South Tempe is generally low on the list in terms of crime. Demographics, I don't know (and I'm not sure what information you are looking for in that regard). Good luck to you!

I live near US60 and Hardy and the ares is just fine. People may scare you cuz its next to the Town of Guadalupe, but you shouldn't have any problems.

Its not that bad, but I wouldn't buy near..only rent only because of its of how close its located to Guadalupe. It's really night and day compared to Tempe...

Not a terrible area, but also not one of the best parts of Tempe, either. Probably a little worse than the S. Scottsdale where you presently live. Also, there's no off-ramp from I-10 on Guadalupe, so you would have to either go North to Baseline or South to Elliot.

Take a ride over there and look around. Want information on the neighborhood?

Ask the mail person, the local business people, the Chamber of Commerce, etc.
