"It is annoying that people think we have NO green out here."

It's quite surprising just how green the desert gets after monsoon.

I lived in Florida for a few months in 1982, suffice to say: If I ever see that humid, asshat infested place again----------it will be too soon.

Having lived near Fort Myers one summer, the humidity is not all suffocating, I agree. A better word to describe it is crippling!

It's not all that difficult to live here, even for someone like me who shares your urbanist values. It is, however, difficult to endure threads like this one.
Smug alert! LMAO! I love South Park and the people that enjoy smelling their own f!rts like the OP. What did he call himself? A euroamerican. Bwahahahaa. What a dingleberry.

9 months of 40% humidity..... OMG that sounds horrifying. I cannot even STAND humidity at that level. So if the humidity is at 40% for 9 months then it must be hanging near the 70's or higher for the summer months. Tampa is reporting 79% humidity today. That is just disgusting. Florida is a beautiful state, I do like it but I personally could not live in those humid conditions. The no smog part would be nice though. Oh well, you can't have everything.

I agree with you about the midwest. North West Indiana/Chicago land area was horrible in the summer, 90 some degrees, 80% humidity. It really made it hard to breathe. I visited Indiana in the winter too and even though it was freezing it was SO humid. Boston is bad too. Spent many summers there as a kid and the humidity is just off the charts. This is why I live in Arizona, average humidity for Phoenix is around 28% and it gets even lower in the dry months. LOVE IT. Thank goodness we can choose where we want to live.

That I disagree with------------frankly; I resent being a slave to a motor vehicle. And I am a car guy.

If I did not have to drive to work.............trust me, my vehicle would be sitting at home
