Does anyone remember the name of the restaurant that was in the building that chili's is now in (20th st. & Camelback). It would have been in the 80's it had a simular type of menu and had a large salad bar.

Yes I did ask this question in a previous post but I did not receive an answer. I thought a different thread name might get new people to look at it.

The first thread didn't get an answer to the original question. I SHOULD know the answer, but can't think of it.

It seems to me that another location pf the same restaurant she's asking about was located in a similar building that was on the north side of Metro Parkway at Metrocenter. I think that building is not there now. I don't get over there much any more.

When they originally opened, they were Jolly Roger. But, they were later part of Hunter Steakhouses

20th and Camelback, after The Jolly Roger....it was The Good Earth. Hope that helps...

Lots of good things in that area...
-Black Angus
-The Bare Cover
-Juttenhoops
-Tang's Imports
-Smitty's
-Hi Fi Sales
...I loved Town and Country in it's heyday.

near there, remember Duck and Decanter for great sandwiches?....still there, I think, but it's difficult (and noisy) to sit in the middle of 51 instead of the big grassy lawn that used to be there!

Town and Country was the previous location of Pizzeria Bianco. You used to be able to just walk in and get a table.

I don't remember that-- interesting. Where was it in the center? It's been in existence since 1994-- how long was it there?
