And I like your strawman argument you used at the end. I only make $60k/year, so if I gave all my after tax income towards public education, it would only be enough to put 2 kids through school and wouldn't leave me a dime to live on. Like I said, you're being ridiculous
We can go on & on about this (and we obviously have). My question is: why are you so passionate about education remaining public and a burden on taxpayers? Could it be that you have a personal vested interest in public ed, perhaps having kids in the system? In my experience, that seems to be the top reason why certain ones are adamant about keeping education publicly funded ... it's because they are the users of the system, and they automatically have a sense of entitlement ("I deserve to have this & that because of a personal decision I made"). You say I'm only thinking of myself? Many of the breeders who are taking advantage of taxpayer supported amenities are among the most selfish people in the world.

I don't have kids at the moment, so I am paying but not receiving the benefit and unlike you, I'm perfectly happy with that. Because I see it as a civic duty to be able to help provide education to the masses.

But to answer another question, I guarantee I would never have kids if you got your way, because I couldn't afford to put them through private school without it dropping me from middle class down to working poor in terms of lifestyle. Again, only the wealthy and upper middle class can afford private primary school without it severly impacting their lifestyle. You'd be insuring the destruction of the economy for your own selfish wants, as consumer spending would drop massively, which would cost people jobs

Life is so much easier when you realize government education is mostly just a jobs program.
But back to the topic (Phoenix Job Growth, I think?).
