I remember seeing some other decent looking homes around 13th/14th st and Northern. I was looking for a condo in that area a year ago because it was close to PV mall, but my realtor warned me to stay away from that area. He said something about homes in dreamy draw (which i just think of sunnyslope) were built on mines and many of them had been torn down because of the mines? I'm an AZ newb, but love hearing about the history of these places. Anyone know what i am talking about?
That area is near Sunnyslope, but not quite there. Neither area is near PV Mall. I don't know what your realtor was thinking about the 14th St and Northern area. Probably wanted to sell you something more expensive, or some other motivation. I don't know about the mining history in Dreamy Draw.

I doubt it will make any difference in my life as I have no plans on taking the LR... I have a car.

Yeah but I can't just move, I just signed a 12 month lease and I really like the apartment. Minus the sounds of construction in the morning, now. Also, this complex is super nice. A lot of the apartments in the area are scuzzy and I have kind of higher standards, lol.

Montevida Apartments. It's on the west side so yes the same side as IHOP... but that IHOP just closed and relocated. As far as leveling the properties, I actually noticed that today as I was driving down 19th going south for the first time. It's crazy how a city can just annex property like that.

It was 12 years or so in the making. Happens all the time. Usually the lawyers make the most out of it.
