I think that for a ED nurse the market is great. I see lots of ads at local hospitals looking for experienced ED nurses. I am a labor/delivery nurse and 3+ years experience as a charge nurse and am having so much difficulty getting a position. I went to a job fair, interviewed, recommended for advancement for job hiring process and then received a call the next day from the recruiter that because I don't live within 15 miles of the hospital I will not be continuing with the process, can you imagine? I was good enough to drive to the job fair, but live to far to work there? Another had me go through math testing, psychological testing, all passed and resume forwarded to manager, been 3 weeks and haven't heard anything yet.
