Hello. I am a Doctor in India.I have got an opportunity to work in Temple Uinversity School of Medicine from 2nd March to 26th April 2009.

Please suggest me an area to reside which is safe, cheap and near (walkable) to Temple University School of Medicine.

If its not possible to find such an area near to Temple University, suggest me the next near & cheap area.I prefer cheap price than to distance.

Also anyone willing to share room near Temple University School of Medicine, please contact me at Moderator Cut: Displaying your e-mail address in a public forum is not advisable. Requesting members to Direct Message here would be a better option..

Unless there is some type of student housing, you won't find anything safe and walkable. You can find walkable and cheap, but not safe. I'd recommend checking out rooms to rent in Germantown or East Falls.

Google "Craigs List" and look in South Philadelphia near the Broad St subway (underground train) that will take you to Temple University fast. www.septa.org North Philadelphia near Temple is not a good place to live unless you find somthing right on campus.
