It needs to be brought to some people's attention that certain neighborhoods are pretty dangerous and that Center City/South Philly/West Philly aren't as safe as some would have them believe.

Center City, West Philly, and South Philly are not neighborhoods, these are huge general dividers of the city. What happens at 34th and Spruced had no bearing on what happens at 67th and Haverford, even though both are in "West Philly."

And a cherry picked list of crimes without any context doesn't help anyone understand how safe a neighborhood is. You aren't providing any information about crime rates, for example, that could help someone make an informed decision. This is no better than the nightly news - shouting "A Murder Happened!" "Clutch your pearls, everyone!"

That's because he seems to enjoy posting every little thing that happens in the city, and if you look at his other posts, his intentions are quite obvious. He's also on his third or fourth username by this point. His last was '2002 Subaru'.

Except I didn't refer to Center City, West Philly and South Philly as 'neighborhoods.'

I said 'certain neighborhoods' so as not to insult anybody who may live in a dangerous neighborhood.

Nice try, though.

He's not interested in any of what you are talking about.

A Philly cop got busted posting child porn while on the job. I wonder why our obsessed resident crime watcher decided not to post this one...

Olney:
A twenty-nine year old male was found murdered with a gunshot wound to the head between two parked cars in the 5200 block of Arbor Street.
Money and a wristwatch were found at the scene.

Stuff like this violates his agenda such as it is.

And frankly I'm not going to suddenly be afraid of going to see my 100+ year aunt who's, essentially, never lived anywhere but scary W. Philly.

Exactly. It was nice that when he abandoned his last username, this thread mostly died and the racists who lurk the boards largely went silent. Now that he's back with another username and obsessing over his little crime fetish, he's brought back a lot of those people.

Lived here five years, and not always in the safest of neighborhoods, and never have been a victim of a crime. I worked in a very dangerous neighborhood in West Philly for a year (as a white guy) and never had a problem. He really should just pack up and move to DelCo clutching his pearls to be more around his own kind.
