Sure, maybe in 100 years. The only "plans" around 30th St Station are for the sprucing up of the intersection at 30th and Market to make the walk between the subway and train stations more pedestrian friendly and green, and the proposed Cira Centre 2, which has stalled and is very close to being considered dead at this point along with the likes of the Trump Tower and ACC (which are dead).

Also, this is an older proposal. The Cira Centre 2 plan is the current one.

Drexel also purchased all the land between 30th St Station and Market and JFK and plans to build a mixed use commercial, retail and hotel complex direstly west of 30th Street Station.

Cira 2 (South is the opposite of this illustration. the market will have to pick up considerably for anything to be built on the air rights of the railywar in Philly though this is a great location for significant commercial development. Potentially an opportunity to belnd the sciences center in U City with the commercial core in CC in the future (likely distant future)

Here is the latest plans for Cira South

Cira Centre South

Cira Centre South has been in the works for almost 5 years now and finally it seams as though phase two of the project may actually happen. Penn Connects offerers some nice updated renderings of the planned mixed use development that will soon be the neighbor of the IRS at the former Post Office and Penn Park.

The Post Office Annex development, as presented in a preliminary design by Brandywine Realty Trust, proposes two mixed-use towers fronting on Walnut and Chestnut Streets, and a 1667-car parking garage with street level retail in the middle of the block. The now complete Parking garage will soon host its first tenants, Old Nelson Food Market and the Schulykill River Development Corporation.
