I've lived in the Philadelphia suburbs my entire life (Northwest), and am a recent college grad with a full time job. I am looking to move out and am considering a few areas - my job is in Horsham and it's quite the trek right now.

1) King of Prussia/Plymouth Meeting area because of proximity to the PA Turnpike, where my job is right off of at the Willow Grove exit. I obviously have an extensive knowledge of the area and am just looking for advice on good apartments to live in.

2) Possibly East Falls because of its proximity to Philly and Manayunk. Despite my suburban life, I went to an urban college and enjoy the urban life.

My tolerance would probably be up to $650 a month, or $1300 for a 2-person because I might live with a buddy of mine.

My big question is (besides advice on KOP/PM apartments) is what the East Falls and Manayunk area are like and if anyone has apartment advice in these areas? I don't have a whole lot of knowledge of NW Philly.

Thanks in advance!

East Falls and Manayunk are nice areas. Manayunk is great for 20 somethings. There are a lot of bars, restaurants, and shops on Main Street. A big downside of Manayunk is transportation. It's really hilly and parking sucks. At the same time, bus service isn't very good, especially on the weekends.
