I love to watch dogs and cats play fight. You know the cats could really do some harm and of course the dogs are usually at a size advantage but it is so obviously they are enjoying their play.
"Play fights" aren't always about just about play, a lot of the time they are just practice for the real thing. This isn't the sort of behavior that I would encourage amongst our dogs much less a larger dog and a cat.
My dog Molly, who practically raised a 3 week old kitten we found (she's now grown) plays with her like that, though it's almost always the cat that jumps on her and tries to mull her...she just puts up with it.
Out on our farm, its the cats who rule. We have one cat we nicknamed Chuck Norris. Every animal in the barn makes way for him. The others bring him mice even though he is fully grown. Are they offerings??
Darn cat even eats the cows food. He will dive in and gobble up hay or their protein mix (mostly corn, soybean, and minerals). We feed them well, he is just unstoppable!
That is the funniest video. I love when they stop playing and have a stare off. The dog looks at the cat and then if you look at him he looks away, meanwhile the cat is staring at him. It is like he doesn't want to make eye contact. Very cute vieo.
